Late summer. For Iga, a young woman in her late twenties, it is a time of daydreaming and chasing an idealized notion of happiness. She decides to drive to Scotland by car. When she meets Ethan, a 30-year-old Englishman, on the way and joins him on the journey, she begins to understand herself better and questions her goals.

After splitting up with her boyfriend, Iga decides to take to the open road. While driving along endless, monotonous highways, she crosses paths with Ethan, whose life seems unanchored. As they travel together, parts of the landscape almost become characters in the story as traffic lights, cheap motels, billboards, highways, and the occasional places where they pause their journey to learn their stories. Together, Iga and Ethan navigate an uncertain world, each searching for somewhere they can reach. Every road trip must eventually come to an end, and in this case, the end marks a new beginning.
