Today’s daily letter covers the day of staff at the publicity team. ??
Today is Children’s Day! Our staff will let you introduce a special place for children at the JEONJU Lounge. ?? |
Here is the child-free zone with Save the Children! The special zone collaborated with Save the Children runs between 9am and 6pm during the festival. (Probably somebody has already visited there because it opens from Apr 29).
Unfortunately, I’m an adult, but I tried to enjoy the experience in the eyes of the child to get more information. Especially, you can play a Korean traditional game called “Hopscotch.” ?? |
Save the Children, located at the corner of the JEONJU Lounge event booth, provides a low chair and a comfortable space for adults to relax. It was such a nice place to come and relax while enjoying the festival.
In addition, an exhibition of the ‘2022 Children´s Day Declaration´ is held across from the event booth to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Children’s Day. Children´s writings and drawings are displayed, describing their declaration to the adults.
According to the declaration, the requests of children were diverse. It made us reflect on discriminatory comments over children such as kiddo. We don´t have any right to degrade children. It is an expression that adults use really naturally, but it might be humiliating for them. |
There are a variety of programmes for children even though the venue itself was not so big, such as tattoo stickers and postcards. It is an exhibition for children, but it seems to be a place where adults look back on their attitude to children. Have a meaningful day at the JEONJU Lounge on May 5, the 100th anniversary of Children’s Day. ?
