Crossing lines, defying boundaries, and continuing to take on new challenges is the identity of the JEONJU IFF. JEONJU IFF has constantly made efforts to expand the realm of film as an art form based on new methods of expression and borderless imagination.

On January 20th, the 26th JEONJU lFF marked D-100!
Now with just double digits remaining, we're getting closer to meeting our audience. We'll work hard on the preparations to bring you an unforgettable experience, so look forward to it!

▶662 Films Submitted for International Competition
662 films from 86 countries were submitted for the International Competition section. Asia had the most with 328 entries, followed by Europe with 269, North America with 110, and then South America, Africa, and Oceania. The JEONJU IFF, which accepts submissions with all kinds of genres, is at the forefront of diversity.
We're eager to see which International Competition films we'll see this year!

▶Looking For Stars Who Will Shine In Korean Cinema!
Submissions for feature films are currently open for the 26th JEONJU IFF.
Eligible films must have been produced after January 2024 and never screened domestically before the 26th festival, or have an even higher premiere status. Plus, if you are a Korean resident living overseas, don’t hesitate to give it a try!
Submissions close on Jan 31 (Fri) 11:00 (KST), 2025

TIPS FOR JEONJU IFF ① JEONJU CALLING
JEONJU = DELICIOUS KOREAN FOOD + JEONJU IFF + Many More
Jeonju is a well-known city in Korea, famous for its beautiful landscape and numerous delicacies. While some of you may have visited Jeonju, others might not be familiar with it.
For this section on the J Letter, we would like to briefly introduce Jeonju, sharing both popular attractions and local favorites that visitors shouldn’t miss.
First of all, Jeonju is beloved for its magnificent cuisine. The renowned Spanish magazine Gentleman selected Jeonju as a global gastronomic city. According to the magazine, as reported by Jeonbuk State, Jeonju is not only the birthplace of 'bibimbap', one of Korea's representative dishes, but also offers a unique culinary experience that blends traditional flavors with modern sensibilities.
