Overview

A man and a dog walk to the tip of the mountain every evening. There is a light that shines at sunset. They are looking for it, but the sun has set, and the forest is deep.

Review

In yet another space for an ugly but beautiful adventure, the sun sets as a man sets off from home with his dog. But the weather takes a turn for the worse. Plunged in a typhoon, the woods no longer seem like woods. Images that turn this walk into an adventure and make one feel this place's infinite possibilities begin to unfold. This continues to the point where one is unsure whether the entirety of this walk is happening in the same place and time. As the newest short film from The Fifth Thoracic Vertebra (2022) director, Park Syeyoung, Twilight continues the director’s dive into and clearly conveys the heavy significance of images, some of which look like paintings, some like photos, and some like something far from such things.
