Note to the projectionist: I made this film when nothing was clear in my life. I couldn't see anything in the darkness. I started looking around with my camera. It was looking for clarity like me. Dear projectionist, I ask you to accompany the film. Look for clarity along with it, and never think that you have found it.

After creating his work Nothing in Its Place for the JEONJU Cinema Project, director Burak Çevik said, “I made this film when nothing was clear in my life.” The unclear moments captured in his 16mm lens appear dark and phantomlike, like images of the night. Çevik uses his camera as a tool to capture the things in life that can be difficult to detect. (Sung MOON)
