Review
I cross the sea with you is a documentary about the July 2022 U.S. tour of byebyesea, a band best known for their mega-hit song, ‘Starlight is Coming Down’. The tour starts in Groveland, California, and moves on to LA, Atlanta, and New York, which seemed to be a great opportunity for this band, which formed in 2006. When there were no concerts for a while due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it must have been thrilling for them to perform in an unfamiliar and interesting place, like America. Most of all, they say that it was a joy to be able to fulfill the new dream of touring in the U.S. The film not only shows their energetic and lively performances, but also various video footage filmed while traveling around various places, including the unforgettable episode of an accident, in which they were threatened by the American police with guns. Fans will find it refreshing to see how Namu, who is in charge of vocals, wrote songs based on how he felt in new places, and the interviews showing the emotions of the band members. (MOON Seok)
