JEONJU IFF proved the love of Cinephile by achieving a 75% pre-sale share on the first day of online booking! There was also much excitement at the box office to get the remaining seats and canceled tickets. Do you want to know the film title audiences shouted the most at the box office last weekend? Our volunteer went out and asked the box office at the CGV Jeonjugosa and the JEONJU Lounge.

💬 Is this film sold out?! Korean Competition for Shorts 1-6

A section where you can meet the sparkling ideas of Chungmuro's future! The JEONJU IFF audience's love for Korean Competition for Shorts started long ago. This year, it was no different. The jury praised this year's Korean Competition for Shorts selections for "encountering many attempts that have been affected by the pandemic and reaffirming the vitality of short films in the attitude of creators who are in tune with the times and anticipating what's next." Are you interested in checking out the Korean Competition for Shorts now? Check out the timetable below for the remaining screenings!

💬 Is this film sold out?! LOST

Director Kang Dongin, invited to the 21st JEONJU IFF Korean Competition for Shorts with Goodtime, returns to the 24th JEONJU IFF Korean Cinema section with LOST. The film tells the story of Taehwa, who receives a lung transplant from his father, who had committed a hit-and-run the night before the surgery. Riddled with guilt, Taehwa sets out to find the victim’s daughter Miji. LOST has been described as "skillfully unraveling a complex drama of sin and punishment through the parallel stories of two characters, Taehwa and Miji." The combination of trusted actors Lee Soohyuk and Ha Younkyoung is also a must-see! Is this one of the reasons why LOST has gained audiences' trust?

💬 Is this film sold out?! Pamir

Pamir dramatizes the tragic Sewol ferry incident that swirls fiercely in our minds. Sejun and Song-i went on a school trip and couldn't return with the sunken ship. Leftover Seolhee and Seong-cheol wander under the weight of a hard life. Also, the remaining parents remember and endure the children they sent first. The film is directed by Omuel, who also directed Jiseul and Bbongdol, and it's also worth noting that it features new faces from Chungmuro's younger actors, including Lee Juseung, Lee Juwoo, Jang Dongyoon, and Ahn So-yo.

💬 Is this film sold out?! Scrapper

Scrapper in the Cinema Fest section was also one of the most talked about weekend films! Georgie, a dreamy 12-year-old, lives happily alone in her London-outskirts flat. Suddenly, her estranged father turns up, and the uncomfortable cohabitation of father and daughter begins. Charlotte Regan, a former music video director, sensitively directs the film. It won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic at this year's Sundance Film Festival.

"We can't find any empty seats in the theaters on film street," the box office in the JEONJU Lounge replied and conveyed people's passion for the film.🔥 They added, "There are still a few seats left at the Jeonbuk National University Cultural Center (which has many seats).”😉 If you're looking for canceled tickets, check out the screenings at the Jeonbuk National University Cultural Center!
