Do you know what day it was yesterday, May 4th? If you're a big fan of the Star Wars series, it's a day you can't pass up! It's Star Wars Day. It's named after the iconic Star Wars line, "May the Force be with you," pronounced similarly to May 4th(May the Fourth.) In honor of this day, the winds of Star Wars blew through JEONJU IFF.

💬 We got back together🧡 JEONJU IFF and Star Wars are inseparable

JEONJU IFF marks the beginning of May for us every year! It's always inevitable that we will have a Star Wars Day. It turns out that four years ago, the 20th JEONJU IFF also joined the Star Wars series! At that time, the "Star Wars Day" event with the special exhibition "Star Wars Archive: The Never-Ending Chronicles" was held and was loved by the audience.

Audiences flocked to JEONJU IFF to enjoy an event organized on a grand scale! Star Wars fans worldwide gathered at the Star Wars Dome in JEONJU for Star Wars Day🤠. Among them, a family of foreigners cosplaying as characters from the Star Wars series stood out. They were the first to show up for those serious about Star Wars! They were the Star Wars costume fan clubs, the 501st Legion, and the Rabel Region.

Guests entered the Star Wars Dome in JEONJU to the sound of a magnificent OST! It was a chance to meet the main characters of the Star Wars series, from Darth Vader to Darth Sidious, Stormtroopers to Rebel Pilots, and First Order generals, all in one place. They seemed to leap off the screen, capturing the audience's attention, and there was no shortage of flash-bangs. I had a blast myself and couldn't take my eyes off it :)

After the parade, it was time for the Star Wars Music Performance. The legendary Star Wars OST, just the sound of it! Seeing the orchestra live made me feel the Force.🧘♀️ It was the perfect way to celebrate Star Wars Day on May 4th.

💬Why did Lucasfilm's Senior Vice President of Content and Strategy team come to Star Wars Dome in JEONJU?

One event, in particular, was significant to us when the JEONJU IFF and the Star Wars series met! JEONJU IFF's collaboration with the Star Wars series was substantial! On May 4th, the Star Wars Dome in JEONJU hosted a special session where James Waugh, senior vice president of Lucasfilm's franchise content and strategy team, met with Star Wars fans in Korea. A chance to hear directly from Lucasfilm officials about the expanding future of the Star Wars series! Star Wars fans' eyes lit up with excitement.

A screening of Star Wars: Visions Season 2 Episode 5, Journey to the Dark Head, which premiered on Disney+ on May 4th, was followed by a talk with the members of Studio Mir who created the episode. Studio Mir's Director Park Hyeong Geun, Art Director Kang Yootae, and Writer Jeong Serang, who penned the show's story, joined us for an in-depth look at the episode, behind-the-scenes stories, and more. The event was made even more special by the fact that we were able to witness the live drawing of director Park Hyeong Geun with our own eyes.
